1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing the Khata1 application or web portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use the application.

2. Service Scope: Pure Accounting & Bookkeeping

Khata1 provides a self-managed digital record-keeping utility for merchants to record business credit, debit transactions, generate invoices, track inventory, and send polite communication reminders.

Non-Lending Declaration: Khata1 is not a financial institution, NBFC, bank, or credit provider. We do not intermediate loans, grant credit, or enforce legal collections on customer debts. The merchant remains solely responsible for the accuracy of their entries.

3. User Responsibilities & Account Security

You agree to provide accurate business profile details and your own verified mobile number.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of OTPs and access to your mobile device.
You agree not to use Khata1 for any unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited commercial activities under Indian law.

4. Intellectual Property

All brand elements, logos, user interfaces, codebases, and designs associated with Khata1 are the intellectual property of Khata1 Technologies. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal and store business operations.

5. Limitation of Liability

Khata1 strives to ensure uninterrupted service; however, the service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We are not liable for business disputes arising between merchants and their buyers, local device damage, or indirect damages.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
